NPGIS FEES        

Effective Date:  January 1st, 2010 Federal Grain Inspection Service (FGIS) must approve all fees for official services and official agencies will assess only those fees appearing on their current approved fee schedule. FGIS user fees included.

Regular Hours: Regular Inspection Lab Hours 6:00AM - 3:00 PM Monday - Friday. Contact lab by 10:00AM for same day inspection/sampling service. 

Hourly Rates: Hourly rates are charged per man-hour a the appropriate rate and assessed in half-hour increments.

*If an elevator requests agency personnel to perform On-Line Sampling and/or Inspection Services and the shift lasts in excess of 15 consecutive hours, the Holiday/Sunday rate will apply to all hours in excess of 15 hours.

Cancellation Charges: If a start time is established (outside regular hours) and an elevator reschedules/cancels prior to the start time a 4-hour per person per day reschedule/cancellation charge will be assessed at the appropriate hourly rate.

On-Call Charges: On-call charges are when an applicant wants personnel available and waiting to report for duty after regular hours.  The elevator establishes a start time and will contact agency personnel prior to the start time to report on the loading status.  If the elevator is no ready by the established time, a 4-hour per person per day charge will be assessed at the appropriate hourly rate.

Holidays: Holiday rates apply on days when the Minneapolis Grain Exchange is closed for Holiday. (New Years Eve Day after 11AM, New Years Day , Martin Luther King Day, Presidents Day, Good Friday, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve Day after 11AM, Christmas Day).

Travel and Stand-by Rates:  Travel assessed for actual travel time at the applicable hourly rate.  Stand-by will be charged at an applicable rate for delays not caused by the Agency and will apply in half-hour increments.  Travel and Stand-by rates outside Regular Hours will be applied at the Overtime Rate.

Mileage Fees: The IRS standard mileage rate will be assessed.  Changes to the mileage rate is effective when the IRS changes their standard mileage rate.  (prorated when possible).

Volume Discount: 30 or more officially sampled rail cars will not be charged travel time. Volume discount does not apply to services provided outside regular sampling hours or on holidays or weekends.

Official Commercial Inspection Services are offered and will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis from our officially approved fee schedule.

Official Services not covered by this fee schedule will be charged at the appropriate hourly rate.

Guaranteed contracts with volume discounts are available and negotiable.
